Investing in new tires is required not only when we have a flat tire or when the season of changing winter tires to summer is approaching. There are many more reasons why tires should be replaced.

1

Broken

The purchase of new tires should be taken into account in the event of any serious damage to the tires already installed in the car. In the opinion of experts in the field of automotive industry, if there are minor damages, the tires used so far can be repaired. It is certainly a lower cost than the purchase of completely new models, but whether the condition of our tire is eligible for possible repairs should be decided by specialists after a careful examination of the tires. It is not worth saving on tires, because they determine not only the comfort of driving and the smooth movement of the vehicle, but most of all about our safety. If a tire has been punctured so much that its internal parts have been damaged, unfortunately, it will not be possible to install a completely new tire.

Outdated

You also need to plan the expenses for new tires in your home budget when there are already visible signs of aging on the current tires. Basically, it is not a question of replacing the tires when the specified period of ownership has passed. Let's not stick to the time frame rigidly, but observe the condition of the tires. An extremely important factor, often deciding that relatively recently purchased tires must be replaced, is even their inadequate storage. Failure to protect tires against mechanical damage, even often accidental or unconscious, resulting from the storage of tires in a garage or utility room in the company of a pile of other items, including sharp tools and equipment, may lead to abrasions, cuts or deformations of the tires. That is why it is so important to find a suitable place for the tires and to protect them properly during storage, thus protecting them against dust, scratches, cracks or any type of deformation. What's more, let's not forget that the obsolescence of tires is also greatly influenced by unfavorable weather conditions, driving speed, maintenance or, on the contrary, the lack of it.

Used

Tires are not only damaged by a number of different factors, but also wear, which is a natural result of the systematic use of tires. It is worth remembering this, regularly checking the tire wear indicator from time to time. According to the recommendations of specialists, the minimum allowable tread height is 1.6 mm. It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the difference between the depth of the grooves of the two tires located on the common axis is not more than 5 mm.

Not the same

The requirement to replace the tires is also in a situation where the tires are unevenly worn or when their wear has been excessive. To check it and be aware that our tires are in this condition, it is necessary to control the tread wear indicator mentioned above. Often the cause of the unnatural wear of the tread, especially on the sides or in the middle, is deeper - a gearbox fault, a problem with the suspension or balance. Sometimes the wrong pressure is also to blame.
